Adele was (unsurprisingly) a big winner at the BRIT Awards 2012, winning British Female Solo Artist and Mastercard British Album Of The Year for ’21’.
Unfortunately, Adele’s acceptance speech was cut short by host James Corden – so she flipped her middle finger in protest. Speaking after the incident, Corden told ITV2: “I’m upset I was forced to interrupt Adele’s Brit Awards speech”.

Ed Sheeran also took home two awards – British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
Blur closed the Brit Awards with a triumphant five-song set. They picked up this year’s Outstanding Contribution To Music award before kicking off their set – the longest show-closer in the history of the awards – with ‘Girls & Boys’.
After moving on to an energetic ‘Song 2’, they were then joined by comic Phil Daniels for ‘Parklife’.
Blur also played ‘Tender’ with a 32-piece gospel choir and closed their set with ‘This Is A Low’.
“The last time we were here was 17 years ago and what happened on that night had a very profound effect on our lives,” frontman Damon Albarn told the crowd after collecting their award.
‘Video Games’ songstress Lana Del Rey took home the International Breakthrough Act.

Kylie Minogue was in attendance, as well, presenting the Best British Female to Adele.
Olly Murs performed his BRIT nominated track ‘Heart Skips A Beat’ at the ceremony (although the song failed to pick up any awards).

Coldplay kicked off the ceremony with a performance of ‘Charlie Brown’ – completing the set with fireworks.
The British Single award went to One Direction for their song ‘What Makes You Beautiful’.
