More recently, Carlos produced a 26-minute film called My Friends Told Me About You. In an amazingly pretentious press release, he explained that the movie was all about celebrity. "Celebrity is a kind of affliction," he wrote. "A malaise, in essence, a condition."

Carlos Dengler quits Interpol

Carlos contributed to Interpol’s forthcoming fourth album, but will not be touring in support of it. In a statement on their official site, the band said: "This separation is amicable, and we whole-heartedly wish him great happiness and success. We will remain, as always, deeply respectful fans of this blazingly talented individual."
