Sure, Kanye might have been the evening’s big draw on the Pyramid Stage, but there were still some massive hedonistic vibes to be found elsewhere. Headlining The Other Stage, Deadmau5 brought lasers, a huge cage and an endless supply of bangers to round off Saturday.
While Kanye West took on the Pyramid, Deadmau5 headlined The Other Stage on Saturday. He brought his recently unveiled new stage production with him.
Playing in a huge booth at the centre of the stage, the Canadian EDM superstar – wearing his trademark Mickey Mouse ears – still drew a big crowd to the area.
The set had an impressive light show and featured songs including ‘Gula (Redux)’ and ‘Avarita’. The set up, which he only used for the first time in early June, is designed by lighting engineer Leroy Bennett.
Deadmau5’s booth sat at the centre of a giant globe which then split in two to reveal the DJ.
Yes, that’s right, he can shoot lights out of his eyes.
Earlier in the day, The Other Stage played hosts to sets from The Maccabees, Clean Bandit and Swim Deep among others. Ben Howard played the penultimate slot, filling the field out before Deadmau5 arrived.
On Sunday The Chemical Brothers will headline The Other Stage to close the final day of the festival.
