As well as being frontman of one of the biggest bands in Britain right now, Two Door Cinema Club’s Alex Trimble has announced his debut photo exhibition. NME has 8 exclusive images from the exhibition..
Entitled ‘Mustang Margaritas’, the exhibition is a collaboration between Trimble and his best friend , Belfast-bred photographer Jamie William.
The extended title of the exhibition is: ”Mustang Margaritas’ – a collection of 30 hand-picked images that tell the tale of a trip between two friends, a Mustang and the open road!”
The collection is being showcased at Gazelli Art House in Mayfair, London, on Tuesday August 20, an evening which also includes a Two Door Cinema Club DJ set.
Speaking of the exhibition, Trimble says: “To get lost and found again through the lens of a camera, escaping life as we live it with a close friend is an unforgettable experience that I dearly wish to share with people through these pictures.”
Trimble’s best friend and counterpart for the exhibition, Jamie William, explained his motivation behind such a project: “The desire to explore an enticing new place and to get lost on the open road instilled a determination right from the drunken moment of the trip’s conception”.
As well as the showcase in London, the photos are set to be sold as a set of A6 postcards, produced by Manchester based company POLITE. Fans can enter a competition over at Two Door’s Facebook page (facebook.com/twodoorcinemaclub) to win two signed copies.
Trimble is a busy man, and following Two Door’s festival slots at Glastonbury, T In The Park and V this summer, the band release a new EP ‘Changing Of The Seasons’ in September before headlining London’s O2 Arena in December.
