Last weekend saw the first of ATP's two 'End Of An Era' festivals, as the organisers waved goodbye to to an event that's been running for 14 glorious years. NME has looked back through our archive for photos of some of the festival's greatest moments, while here some fans pay sand-based tribute.

Black Lips also bid farewell to Camber Sands in fitting, crowd-surfer-assisted style. One of the unique selling points of the festivals is the chalet set-up where fans share accommodation for the weekend. There's not a tent in sight at ATP.

Deerhunter are another band that ATP have embraced over the years, and Bradford Cox was on hand for the farewell party. Cox told NME: "Curating ATP is like if you had to plan your own bar mitzvah."

One of the most unique things about ATP festival was its location. This was Camber Sands glamour in 2008 - the only place you'd find experimental electronica and a day spent on the water slides mixed.
