Ian Brown: "I’d driven up for a Rockin’ On shoot and I’d heard on the radio that they were painting a street in Moss Side pink. It was meant to be done in the hotel but we wanted to do something more interesting. I told him about the pink street and asked him if he was up for going, he said 'go for it'. He gave copies to all the kids in the photo."
