It's been a huge week in music news. No, really, it genuinely has. Starting with this, Morrissey's latest tangle of words. He's been arguing with Canada's Minister of Fisheries and Oceans. He called the country's seal hunting "barbaric". Minister Gail Shea fired back saying he was looking for a "popularity boost" with his comments. Ouch.

No Oasis reunion (just yet).

Clever old Jack White. He wrote his name into history by producing the world's fastest released record during a day of festivities to mark Record Store Day at his Third Man studio in Nashville, Tennessee. He recorded it and started selling it some 3 hours, 55 minutes and 21 seconds later. It sold out just as quickly.

Someone less pleased on Record Store Day last weekend was Paul Weller. The Jam legend has said that he won't be taking part in future RSD's after seeing his 2014 release sold online at vastly inflated prices.

Gwyneth Paltrow has apparently been using a "healer's toolbox" to get over her recent "conscious uncoupling" from Chris Martin. What even is that?

Scientific fact says you're never more than five days away from Deadmaus' next Twitter outburst. Bieber: Headline-maker. Justin got himself into trouble after he posted a picture - now removed - showing himself next to the Yasukuni war shrine, in Japan. It's regarded by China and South Korea as a monument celebrating the Japanese leaders executed for war crimes during World War II.

Lorde pulled her Australian tour. "I have had to postpone my Australian shows because of a nasty chest infection and general ill health," she said. "I am so so gutted to have to do this but my parents and my team stepped in telling me I needed a break after being non-stop since the Grammys in January."

In a week where fans got to hear a sneak preview of a couple of the demos on the forthcoming Led Zep reissues, Robert Plant once again poured cold water on the idea that they could do anymore gigs. "Zero chance" in the big man's words.
