Lest you think it was a passing fad, Liam Gallagher has unveiled a new Spring/Summer collection for his clothing label Pretty Green. This pink cotton T-shirt will set you back £54.
Liam is planning to release new material later this year, recorded with ex-Oasis members (but not Noel). In the meantime he’s focusing on fashion. This navy blue zip-up top retails for £270, and is on sale at Selfridges, among other places.
Liam’s Pretty Green clobber doesn’t necessarily cheap – this camouflage parka jacket, for example, costs £480.
Liam has revealed that his post-Oasis group will have a new name. “It’s not Oasis, that was a shit name anyway,” Gallagher told radio station Xfm. “I’m glad to see the back of it.”
As for the name of the new band, Liam remained tight-lipped on what the group is going to be called. He stated: “There’s a name that we’re digging at the moment, but we’re going to get on with the music and see how it goes.”
Meanwhile, Oasis have revealed the cover art for their forthcoming singles compilation album, ‘Time Flies’.
The cover art, pictured, features a photograph taken during one of the band’s performances at Knebworth Park. They famously played the venue before a combined crowd of 250,000 on August 10 and 11 in 1996.
‘Time Flies’ will be released on June 14 and will feature 26 of the band’s singles.
Liam recently laid into the state of modern music. “I don’t even know who the new bands are,” he admitted. “Do you want me to say I like Fire Flies? Or Arcade… or fuckin’ Bombay Bicycle – they can fuck off with that name for a start!”
He added: “I’m not gonna pick up Bombay Bicycle’s record ’cause of the stupid fuckin’ name they’ve got.”
