Flitting from winners room to stage, and almost always with a drink in hand, it’s safe to say Rat Boy definitely had the most fun out of anyone at the 2016 NME Awards With Austin Texas. Here are a few snaps we got of the Essex trouble-maker back-stage, mingling with the stars and of his big performance.
Rat Boy and pals made quite the entrance on the red carpet.
Getting on the Red Stripe pre-performance. We like your style, Rat Boy.
Heading up to stage to collect his award for Best New Artist supported by Topman.
Carl Barat and Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo were on hand to present Rat Boy with his award.
Rat Boy kept the acceptance speech relatively short though.
“Thank you very much I really appreciate this, cheers, thank you to everyone who voted.” Rat Boy told the star-studded crowd.
After picking up the gong, he headed up to winners room for more award bants. Look at Jordan’s happy face!
The boys certainly got every one’s tongues wagging on the chaotic evening.
Have you ever seen a face of such glee? We think Carl should make Rat Boy’s day and suggest a little collab.
Not sure what happened to his trousers – but we’re going to assume it’s some beer.
Rat Boy and the band later performed latest single ‘Move’ for the adoring crowd.
The rambunctious performance included some fancy dance moves too.
He got papped hanging out with Slaves down in the tables, probably discussing Laurie’s wrist injury. Rat Boy had nothing to do with it though. We hope…
Sorry Rat Boy, but Oli Sykes had the best table routine of the night. Nice try though.
