Who should be NME’s Godlike Genius in 2015 following Blondie’s win this year? Well, you’ve been voting in your thousands over the last week and the results are finally here. From 20 – 1, here’s the countdown, starting with Liam Gallagher. His brother Noel won the award in 2012.

In at number 19 is Prince, who’s recently been wowing audiences in the UK with his secret gigs. Unfortunately Emily Eavis announced this week that he won’t be playing Glastonbury this year.

NME readers voted Kanye West’s in at 18th place following the succes of ‘Yeezus’. Can you believe it’s been 10 years since ‘The College Dropout’? It’s hard to imagine a world without Yeezy.

Lyrical craftsman Dylan enters at 15th place. ‘Bob Dylan – The 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration’, a high definition DVD/CD recording of his famed concert at Madison Square Garden, was released this week.

The goddess Björk is in at number 14. She released her 8th album, the spectacular ‘Biophilia’, in 2011 so hopefully there’ll be another album around the corner..

David Byrne’s contribution to music is pretty unique. From the reign of Talking Heads to solo albums and collaborations, most recently with St Vincent, Byrne constantly reinvents. His recent book ‘How Music Works’ is worth a look too.

The majestic PJ Harvey swoops into 12th place. Earlier this year the MBE honoured musician caused a stir with her guest-edited edition of Radio 4’s Today programme.

Kate Bush, goddess extraordinaire is in at number 8. An artist who has consistently produced amazing records from 1978’s ‘The Kick Inside’ to the most recent ’50 Words For Snow’ in 2011, Bush absolutely deserves all the accolades she can get.

Siouxsie Sioux broke out of her five-year hiatus last summer when she played at Yoko Ono’s Meltdown festival. She’s fourth favourite to be the next NME Godlike Genius. Since the mid-70s she’s been an extraordinarily influential rock singer from her work with The Banshees and The Creatures to solo projects.

Into the top 3 with Thom Yorke. Last month Radiohead revealed their latest project, an interactive app called ‘Polyfauna’ in which users explore eerie visuals matched with the music from their 2011 album ‘Kings Of Limbs’.
