  • Today (27 September) sees the release of Jimmy Page's first book, cunningly titled Jimmy Page. It's a photo-led autobiography - and here are a few choice shots from it. Starting with this picture from 1962, taken shortly after he'd joined his first band, Red E Lewis & The Redcaps.

This shot was taken on December 10, 1968, and captures the guitarist backstage at one of the first live shows billed as Led Zeppelin, at the Marquee Club, London.

  • August 24, 2008. Jimmy Page performs ‘Whole Lotta Love’ with Leona Lewis at the closing ceremony of the Beijing Summer Olympic Games. The performance marked the hand-over of the Olympics to London, the next host city, and was watched by over 250 million people worldwide.
