The Beatles’ feature film ‘Help!’ was recently digitally restored and released on Blu-ray. Here you can check out 8 exclusive images from the movie. The plot of the 1965 film saw the band chased around the world after Ringo Starr acquired a sacrificial ring.
The movie saw the band travel to film in a number of glamorous locations, including the Bahamas.
‘Help!’ was directed by Richard Lester, who also took charge of the band’s debut feature film ‘A Hard Day’s Night’. This shot was taken in Obertauern, Austria, in March 1965.
In the film Ringo and his bandmates – who play themselves – get pursued by religious cult members, mad scientists and the London police.
Parts of the film were shot in Twickenham Film Studios, south west London. This was taken in April 1965.
The band’s other movies ‘Yellow Submarine’ and ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ have also been remastered and released on DVD.
‘Help!’ features Beatles songs such as ‘Help’, ‘Ticket To Ride’ and ‘You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away’. This image finds the band in at Cliveden House (The Palace), in May 1965.
