Dave Grohl has denied accusations levelled at him by Courtney Love, who said that he had tried to seduce her teenage daughter Frances Bean Cobain. Grohl, who played in Nirvana with Frances’ father Kurt Cobain said in a statement: “Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue.”

Frances Bean Cobain has spoken out after her mother Courtney Love took to Twitter to suggest that Dave Grohl had tried to seduce the 19-year-old. Frances has now stated that nothing untoward happened. She said: “While I’m generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. Twitter should ban my mother.

Damon Albarn has revealed that Blur’s Hyde Park gig might be the band’s swansong. In an interview with The Guardian, Albarn admitted that the band might call it a day after the show on August 12. When asked if the band would play live again after Hyde Park, Albarn responded by saying “no, not really”. When pushed to reveal whether that really was it for the band, he said: “I think so, yeah.”

Pete Doherty has told NME that he will be entering rehab at the end of this month. Speaking in an exclusive interview which you can read in the new issue of NME, Doherty said: “I thought you might be interested to know that I’m booked to go into rehab at the end of April.”

Lady Gaga has announced plans to play two UK dates later this year. The singer will perform at London’s Twickenham Stadium on September 8 and Manchester MEN Arena on September 11 as part of her ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour. Gaga will also play a one-off date in Ireland at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium four days later. Support on all three dates will come from The Darkness and Lady Starlight.

Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has revealed that he has refused the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’s invitation to be inducted. The singer, who had not previously spoken about the possibility of reuniting with his former bandmates at the ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio this weekend, has now come out and said that he wishes to take no part in the whole thing.

Noel Gallagher has revealed his love for Top Gear, the BBC TV show presented by motormouth Jeremy Clarkson. The ex-Oasis man, who is currently touring America with his band the High Flying Birds, professed his love of the programme in the latest of his Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere blog. He said: “So…Indianapolis? Spent the day watching Top Gear on BBC America…I fucking love Top Gear.”

Bloc Party have announced details of a UK tour, which will take place this June. The band, who are currently working on the follow up to their 2008 LP ‘Intimacy’, will play three low-key shows. The trek kicks off with a date at Glasgow Garage on June 19, followed by a show at Manchester’s HMV Ritz on June 20 and wrapping up at London KOKO on June 21.

Lana Del Rey addressed recent online speculation over her and Axl Rose in at an intimate show in London. The ‘Born To Die’ star played an intimate set at the Camden Jazz Café, in front of around 150 competition winners. But her choice of wardrobe set tongue wagging when she took to the stage wearing a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt.

Odd Future’s Tyler, The Creator gets tricked into believing he blew up a Taco truck and set a man on fire in a new episode of MTV’s prank show Punk’d. In the hoax, Tyler is asked to autograph a Taco truck for charity by the show’s host, Jackass star Bam Margera, before climbing inside to make himself something to eat.

Kasabian’s Tom Meighan has revealed that he wants his band to keep reinventing themselves in a similar fashion to Radiohead. He said: “We always try to reinvent ourselves in the way that a band like Radiohead would do. Or we come at things from another angle.”

Lily Allen has come out of musical retirement and is working on a new album, according to reports. The ‘Smile’ singer has been spotted writing new material at RAK Studios in St John’s Wood, London, says the Daily Star, and could release a new LP in 2013.

Green Day are set to release a trilogy of new albums, releasing each record one at a time throughout the latter part of this year and putting out the third and final album in January 2013. Billie Joe Armstrong wrote: ” Ok. Here’s the deal. We’re making a 3 album trilogy. Not 1. Not 2. But 3 albums. Called ¡UNO! ¡DOS! ¡TRE! Coming September November January.”

President of the United States, Barack Obama, has said that he prefers Jay-Z to Kanye West, adding that he still thinks West is a ‘jackass’. Obama answered ‘Jay-Z’ when asked which member of The Throne he prefers. He explained: “Although I like Kanye. He’s a Chicago guy. Smart. He’s very talented… He is a jackass, but he’s talented.”

Adele, Florence And The Machine’s Florence Welch and Jessie J have been revealed as some of the richest people in the UK who are under the age of 30, with the ’21’ singer now well ahead at the top of the list. The list has been compiled by the Sunday Times and details the richest people under 30 in the UK from the worlds of acting, modeling and music.

Morrissey has announced details of his only UK show to take place in Manchester this July. The former Smiths frontman will play a one-off gig at Manchester Arena on July 28. The date will be his first show in his hometown since playing the 02 Apollo Manchester in May 2009.

The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood has revealed that the band will start recording new material this month. Speaking to the Mirror, the guitarist said he and his bandmates would be hitting the studio to “throw some ideas around” in preparation for their 50th anniversary celebrations. Wood, who said the band were eager “to get the feel again”.

The Enemy will perform at next month’s FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium. The band will appear before the match on May 5, with their performance set to be broadcast on ESPN along with the game. The gig, entitled Talk Of The Terrace, will see the band playing two songs from the roof of Wembley Stadium.
