The track, 'One Way Trigger', is the first to be taken from The Strokes' fifth studio album. Albert Hammond Snr said of the record: "I don't think they'll go in a wildly different direction. Obviously the songs will be different, but I think The Strokes are The Strokes; they always will be The Strokes."

The Strokes have confirmed that they will release new album 'Comedown Machine' in March. An official statement from The Strokes record label Rough Trade said that the band's fifth album will be released on March 25 with new single 'All The Time' preceding it.

Noel Gallagher has revealed that he is suffering from tinnitus, having recently being diagnosed with the condition by doctors. The condition, which is characterised by ringing in the ears in the absence of external sound, affects a number of musicians with loud music often causing damage over a number of years.

Reddit user @andersonenvy found a link in the code used on The Strokes official website which led to a cached image revealing potential album artwork. The image is styled on an old-fashioned RCA tape reel box. It lists a running time of 37m and 49 seconds and bears the words "extra strength", "splice free" and "professional standard".

Justin Bieber is being investigated by Canadian police after a woman claims she was assaulted by a Nerf gun fired by the singer. According to TMZ, Bieber was in Ottawa, Canada when a female security guard at the venue he was performing at filed a police report claiming Bieber, or someone adjacent to him, assaulted her.

Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw has gained 250,000 young listeners since he took over from Chris Moyles, RAJAR figures have revealed. The presenter, who took over the early morning slot last September, lost 40,000 listeners overall but increased the number of 15-24 year olds tuning into his show by a quarter of a million.
