Is No Man’s Sky the Pokemon GO the world actually wanted? Well, it is all about meeting strange creatures in an immersive virtual world, except in No Man’s Sky you don’t have to do anything mad like get off your sofa. It’s pretty much your call what you get up to in the near-infinitesimal galaxy. You know how the most fun bit of Grand Theft Auto is roaming around and getting yourself into trouble? It’s like that, but all the time and with added sci-fi. There’s a whole host of mad creatures running around and you get points for discovering and naming them. We gather some of the weirdest here.
I mean… is that a dick hanging out of this guy’s face?
This one looks a bit like he’s in the ‘Heart Shaped Box’ video.
This thing’s sort of one-third big cat, one-third fish, one-third dinosaur. And ALL awesome.
You don’t see this kind of bad behaviour in Pokémon Go.
Getting My Little Pony vibes here. My Terrifying Little Pony.
This very impractical creature must have great difficulty stooping for food, running from predators and managing to get up after a good sleep. Cracking set of legs, though.
Gracefully, this crab/amoeba thing careens across the desert, flaunting its mohawk hairdo about.
Does this sinister-looking teddy bear remind anyone else of George Galloway?
Right, if you’re saying this one doesn’t look like Will Ferrell in Zoolander, you’re only kidding yourself.
I’ve got two words for you: Jimmy Krankie.
Must be a right pain in the arse when your back legs are only half the size of your front legs, but this old girl seems happy enough.
This crab/sea amoeba thing makes literally no sense, like it doesn’t physically work at all. And if you say we’re missing the point here – well, yes, fair enough, you’re right.
Really just want to sling a bowling ball into these lads.
Yep, this is definitely Dicknose from Slipknot in a former life.
Nasty case of mange there, mate.
Why so sad? Because this gallery has come to an end? Cheer up mate – there are loads of weird creatures where these came from – the universe of No Man’s Sky is absolutely teeming with them, and we can’t wait to discover many, many more.
