• The Gossip's Beth Ditto posed naked for the cover of NME in May 2007, keying directly into the Size Zero debate and prompting unlikely praise from Germaine Greer, who had herself stripped off for the camera in the 60s. Greer wrote in 'The Guardian': "The NME had enough courage to put the coolest woman on the planet on the cover, and Beth Ditto has given them the kind of picture that they can use: attention-getting but certainly not obscene."
