The annual Jack Daniel’s whisky-sponsored brand gig sees three musicians a year perform their own songs, covers and collaborations for a one-off gig backed by the New Silver Cornet Band – a band of veteran US musicians.

Glasvegas are set to play their first UK gig since frontman James Allan temporarily went missing in New York last month, skipping the Barclaycard Mercury Prize ceremony. James and guitarist Rab Allan will play an acoustic show at the Parker McMillan venue in London on October 30 for the This Feeling club night.

Pavement have announced their first comeback gig in the UK, to take place next May. The band, who announced in September that they will reunite next year, are to headline and curate the ATP Weekend at Butlins in Minehead on May 14–16, 2010.

Radiohead have denied they have given up on making albums, and plan to release a new one on physical formats next year. Ed O’Brien told NME.COM that the band were set to record the album this winter in Oxfordshire with long-term producer Nigel Godrich.
