Beck will headline the very first show at a new Los Angeles venue set to open in November. The LA native will perform at the grand opening of Club Nokia on November 10. The new 2,300-seat venue is part of the LA LIVE complex, which includes the massive Staples Center (home of the Grammy Awards) and the Nokia Theatre, which seats 7,100. Tickets for Beck’s show go on sale today (September 27) at 10am PST via Ticketmaster.
Metallica’s co-manager Cliff Burnstein has hit back at claims that the CD version of the band’s new album is of poor audio quality. Fans have reported that the CD version of Metallica’s ‘Death Magnetic’ is not as high quality as the ‘Guitar Hero’ version. Razorlight have announced details of a UK tour which will kick off this November. The band, who release third album ‘Slipway Fires’ on November 3, will play a series of intimate dates just after its release. "We’re playing the best venues in the country," Johnny Borrell told NME.COM. "(It’s) a proper rock ‘n’ roll tour – we’re going to give it everything."

My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields has confirmed that the band are set to record two new albums. After playing a headline set at ATP New York on September 21, Shields said that he wants to restart work on songs written for the band’s aborted third album. The last LP the group released was ‘Loveless’ in November 1991.

Blink-182’s Travis Barker was been seriously injured in a plane crash in South Carolina this week (September 20). The drummer and DJ Adam Goldstein were the only two survivors out of the six reportedly on board According to BBC News, Barker is currently being treated for burns after the accident.
