People Johnny Marr

Johnny Marr has said that he is “too busy” to reunite with his old band The Smiths for live gigs – but has not completely ruled out the possibility of his schedule freeing up to allow it to happen. The Cribs’ guitarist has repeatedly said that he is not interested in reuniting with singer Morrissey, bassist Andy Rourke and drummer Mike Joyce. V Festival 2006

Radiohead’s Thom Yorke is reportedly set to release a second solo single this month featuring two new compositions. The frontman had already been announced as set to release a Mark Mulcahy cover, ‘All For The Best’, on September 7. Flight Of The Conchords have announced details of their second album – and have also revealed that they will play live UK gigs next year. The comedy/music duo, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, will release ‘I Told You I Was Freaky’ on October 26. Liam Gallagher has allegedly spoken about Oasis’ split and his plans for the future to an Italian waiter. Gallagher, who fled England for Italy’s Lake Como along with bassist Andy Bell and their respective partners, is said to have spoken with waiter Vincenzo Della Corte while eating at the Villa D’Este hotel. Della Corte said Gallagher told him Oasis were “all over and there was no way he would get back with Noel”. Reading Festival 2009

Them Crooked Vultures are set to tour the UK in December, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.
