  • Yeah Yeah Yeahs are currently streaming their upcoming fourth album 'Mosquito' on YouTube. It is set for release on April 15. The follow-up to 2009's 'It's Blitz!', 'Mosquito' sees the band again working with long-time producers David Sitek and Nick Launay, and was recorded at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas.

  • The Rolling Stones' drummer Charlie Watts has said that he doesn't want to play Glastonbury because he doesn't like festivals or playing outdoors. He told The Guardian: "The worst thing playing outdoors is when the wind blows, if you're a drummer, because the cymbals move … it really is hard to play then."

  • Freddie Mercury dressed Princess Diana up as a male model to sneak her into a London gay club, it has been revealed. The revelation comes from the autobiography of comedienne Cleo Rocos' autobiography, which has been serialised in The Sunday Times. The 80's star attended the club with the couple and fellow comedian Kenny Everett.

  • Queens Of The Stone Age debuted new song 'My God Is The Sun' at Lollapalooza Brazil on March 30th. The track is the first taste of new music from the Josh Homme-fronted group and is taken from the band's forthcoming new album '…Like Clockwork'.

  • Tickets to see The Rolling Stones for their forthcoming huge Hyde Park gig sold out in three minutes on the morning of April 5. The band will headline the central London park on July 6, their first time playing at the venue since their now-legendary gig in 1969, as part of the ten-day long Barclays British Summertime Festival.

  • Justin Bieber has had his pet monkey seized by customs at a German airport. The pop brat sneaked the primate into Europe on his private jet and reportedly faces prosecution in Munich as he did not have the correct papers for his monkey, named Mally, which is now in quarantine.

  • Hugh Jackman has spoken about the plot details for his X-Men spin-off The Wolverine by hinting that former character Jean Grey will be a pivotal figure in the flick - despite being dead. The film is set after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand, in which Grey was killed, but Jackman says that her death and the impact on his character will be an important part of the movie.

  • Tyler, The Creator has revealed that Justin Bieber rejected a song which he had written for him with fellow Odd Future cohort Frank Ocean. The pair wrote a track for Bieber's 'Believe' album, but the teenage singer turned the track down.

  • A fake trailer for Pineapple Express 2 was released as an April Fools' Day Joke. The parody promo features James Franco and Seth Rogen reprising their roles as stoner buddies from the cult 2008 comedy written by Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Pineapple Express 2 is billed as "the most anticipated sequel in human history" and apparently centres on a plot to kill Woody Harrelson.

  • Tokyo Rocks festival has been cancelled, organisers have announced. The Japanese festival, which was due to take place May 11-12, 2013 with a line-up that included Blur, My Bloody Valentine, Primal Scream, Carl Barat and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, was cancelled yesterday (March 31) due to "several factors".

  • PJ & Duncan, aka Ant and Dec, topped the Official UK Singles Chart with 'Let's Get Ready To Rhumble'. The TV presenters resurrected their Byker Grove characters on last week's episode of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway to perform their 1994 Top 10 hit. The performance caused a frenzy among viewers who immediately started downloading the track, sending it soaring up the charts.

  • Actor Idris Elba has admitted that his confrontation with Liam Gallagher at last month's NME Awards was caused by a row over a hat. The pair made headlines after they reportedly clashed at an after party at The Ivy in London in February (February 27), with eye-witnesses claiming that they had squabbled because Gallagher made fun of Elba's bobble hat.

  • David Bowie's comeback album 'The Next Day' is the early favourite to win this year's Mercury Music Prize. The album, released in March, is Bowie's first since 'Reality' in 2003 and has been met with critical acclaim. Leading bookmaker Paddy Power has slashed the odds on the album winning the prestigious prize, not awarded until September, from 12/1 to just 7/2 following a spate of recent bets.

  • Johnny Marr has announced that he will support The Stone Roses at their two London gigs this June. The Manchester band will headline two huge dates at London's Finsbury Park on June 7 and 8 followed by a single show at Glasgow Green on June 15. The supports for the Glasgow show are Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and The View. Marr is the first act to confirm his appearance at the London shows.

  • Beyonce and OutKast rapper Andre 3000 have recorded a cover of the late Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’. The cover will feature on the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s forthcoming adaptaion of F Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel ‘The Great Gatsby’. It is the second time the pair have worked together, following 'Party' from Beyoncé's latest album '4'.

  • Taylor Swift reportedly came close to being 'impaled' mid-air on a sword used in hit movie Lord Of The Rings, which is in the possession of Swift's rumoured boyfriend Ed Sheeran. Sheeran was presented with the piece of film memorabilia by Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson during a visit to New Zealand.
