The Cribs have made their cover of Kaiser Chiefs' 'Modern Way' available as a download, with the proceeds set to go to charity. The song was recorded in 2005 and released as a B-side to the Wakefield band's single 'Mirror Kissers' (before Johnny Marr joined the band). The song is available from iTunes now, with money raised through sales going to the Cash For Kids Action On Neglect Appeal.

Super Furry Animals are set to play songs from their Creation back catalogue live in their home town of Cardiff on November 20. The band will play the show, dubbed 'Recreation', at the Coal Exchange as part of the Soundtrack International Film and Music Festival, which takes place in the Welsh capital on November 18-22. Former Ride man Mark Gardner will also be on the bill.

Beginning in December in Glasgow, the arena tour will also visit Birmingham and Manchester before closing at the O2 Arena in London.
