Last weekend, NME photographer Jenn Five hit the backstage area of Hylands Park in Essex to capture intimate portraits of some of the stars of V Festival 2016. Here are her exclusive one-on-one snaps with Bastille, Jess Glynne, Kaiser Chiefs and more.

Also playing this year’s V Festival was John Newman, who recently announced that he’s due to have surgery due to a tumour on the brain, but said he’ll be back in the studio right away. Good on ya, John.
Little Mix helped V Festival celebrate its 21st edition, and also announced from the stage that they were celebrating their five-year anniversary. Party hats all round, then.
Taking up a coveted slot on the MTV Stage was ’80s legend Rick Astley, who of course dropped his timeless banger ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ to a huge crowd.
