CLUB NME STARRING ROCKBAND

Reckon you can match the larynx-shredding vocal howl of Kurt Cobain? The titanic drumming power of John Bonham? The warp-speed guitar dexterity of Matt Bellamy? Then your time has come, soldier. The nationwide search is on to find the ultimate Rock Band band - and you could be in with a chance of achieving rock n' roll immortality performing LIVE alongside A list rock talent in Trafalgar Square in October, simply by turning up to Club NME.

If you've played Rock Band before, you'll know the score: choosing between guitar, bass, drums and vocals, contestants blast their way through a selection of 67 rock anthems, including Nirvana's In Bloom and Radiohead's Creep, bumping up their points with blazing solos and cocky ad-libs. In short, it's the closest you can come to being a rock idol without developing a crippling drink problem and an ego the size of Johnny Borrell's.

And now you can showcase your skills before a sweat-soaked live audience. At selected Club NME nights across the UK, Rock Band battles will be taking place, with Rock Band kit to be won, and the best players slugging it out for a place in the grand final in London's Trafalgar Square. For those about to rock, we salute you.
