Kittie
Charlotte(Ng/Artemis)
Wouldn't it be great if Kittie really rocked like angry fem-punk rockpigs instead of sounding like mildly miffed Canadian Violet Elizabeth scweamers every time they turn on their stage-school scowls? Don't get me wrong - hats off to the howling mudslide geetar spasms and superfuzz riffola overload, but you just can't help hearing Alanis-style, jazz-poetry, daddy-wouldn't-buy-me-a-pony suburban kookiness behind the sub-Courtney snarl of 'Charlotte'. It's listenable enough, but when are the female Pantera going to rise up and wash the poodle-punk scum off the streets? Huh?
