Welcome To The Pleasuredome

ZTT wheel out yet another remix from the Frankie vaults...

Welcome To The Pleasuredome

According to my morning Metro - a free disposable daily newspaper they invented to maximise litter on the London Underground - US concert-goers were "outraged" to discover that a band touring under the name Frankie Goes to Hollywood featured absolutely no members of the long defunct Liverpool outfit who scored world-wide hits in the 1980's with 'Relax', 'Two Tribes' and some t-shirts.

Presumably, this is the same group of concert-goers who were recently "up in arms" at finding that The Thompson Twins were not actually twins (ask your parents) but, well, I digress.

You can almost see their mistake. The Frankie machine has never really stopped ticking over, and records suggest that 'Welcome to the Pleasuredome' is the 186th entirely pointless trance reworking of one of their numbers churned out this year alone.

Clocking in at about 42 hours long, it's safe to assume that by the time it's finished there'll be another one along in a minute. Which, with any luck, should make you feel a little less guilty for nodding off just before the rave sirens go off half way through.
