Wheat
Raised Ranch Revolution(City Slang)
Massachusetts' Wheat have their own, uniquely warm take on the vast, fertile expansive heartlands of white US rock - their music takes a more aerial perspective, rather than getting bogged down in guitar roots. This is particularly benign and low-key by their standards, though it does whip up a storm from nowhere, before drifting off into Pere Ubu-style white noise, then setting down somewhere way over yonder. 'Headphone Recorder' and 'And First You See A Superstar, Then You Don't' are altogether stranger little slivers of post-rock.
