Shoveling Sons(Chemikal Underground)

Roads paved by dead souls. Shoveling sons keeping us awake. The night's misgivings. California's ever-doleful Radar Bros., we suspect, are singing a load of nonsense. However, given a willowy melody, a sparse acoustic strum and melting harmonies, it sounds like misery's elevation, delivery from despair, deathbed optimism. It's also one of the finer tracks on Radar Bros.' very fine 'The Singing Hatchet' LP where,
if you're interested in such things, you can find a whole wealth of lustrous melancholia.
