Last year's European capital of cool celebrates its diverse and fertile music scene with a 34-track compilation of quirky post-Wall designer pop. Notable omissions (Chicks On Speed, Peaches, DHR, Tresor techno) are offset by a high standard of avant-indie.
Necessary or evil? Close your eyes and you too could be a bearded graphic designer from Mitte creating pointlessly daring images on a cream iMac while the brilliant Stereo Total, Pop Tarts, Pole, Gonzales and many, many more enhance your false sense of self-worth 8/10.
