In the eyes of your elderly relatives, growing up is the one thing in which you will never be indulged. You might be the parent of six children, president of ICI, a black ops mercenary in Belize, but as far as they're concerned, you will still play 'Mull Of Kintyre' on the recorder for visitors and aren't to be trusted with a full glass of squash.


For Bis, it must be like that every day of their lives, and not just Christmas - they've hung out with Grand Royal, made increasingly mature records and are very possibly in their mid-40s by now, but still people expect them to be all spit and sherbet, to know more about confectionery and toys than sex and trainers. All the same, calling this single 'Detour' is no understatement. Featuring the feathery coo of Lois Maffeo, it rubs itself against both Massive Attack and All Saints, writhing through a sultry groove and whispered promises. It's most unsettling, but certainly not unpleasant.
