Norman Cook gives credit where it's due, introducing favourite tunes that he's sampled on Fatboy Slim cuts, like Camille Yarbrough's gorgeous 'Take Yo' Praise'.
Necessary or evil? Obviously idiosyncratic (vintage Lulu and the Dust Junkys on one disc), but brightly funky
too. Strikingly, most of these tracks - especially Ellen McIlwaineís country stompin' 1975 original b and the B-boy style of Stik And The Hoodz's 'Shake Watcha Mama Gave Ya' - sparkily trounce the contemporary hits they spawned.
