Sounding like Dinosaur Jr, Get-Up Kids and The Cure swiping at swarms of bees, London quartet Econoline's Yankophile tendencies are perfectly illustrated by the heartbreak shading of their sandpaper guitars and quiet-loud dynamics on this their second single. If the term emocore wasn't so redolent of middle-class teens wearing overpriced American work clothes, it'd be a perfect tag for this pocket-epic of turmoil, singer Ian Scanlon's vocal tussling poignantly with the deafening walls of guitars until your heart breaks in two. More, please.
