Lifehouse : Hanging By A Moment
The Pearl Jam lawyers really should investigate before it gets out of hand and they become successful...
The really big sound in America
is not soppy power pop punk, however. Nor is it nu-metal.
It's this... stuff: Creed, Train,
Live, and now, Lifehouse - lugubrious, suburban angst for people whose 'issues', you suspect, are not low self-esteem but low stock options. It's America's dadrock, and it's sucked the young into its great grey maw just as dadrock did here.
Except 'Hanging By A Moment' isn't anywhere near as deathly awful as most of its contemporaries. This is because Lifehouse singer Jason Wade mimics Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder down to the last tortured gargle. The Pearl Jam lawyers really should investigate before it gets out of hand and they become successful... Oops, too late.
