Things are going well for glamourpuss Gwen. Gavin's finally going to make an honest woman out of her, and now that No Doubt
have shelved odious ska-punk in favour of giddy hip-hop-tinged pop, she can finally put the belly and bindi days behind her.
'Hey Baby' is the unintentionally hilarious first
single off the band's surprisingly decent new 'Rock Steady' album, and finds Gwen's gloopy baby-voice telling us all about how she likes to "hang with the guys" over an irrepressible electro beat.
It's slightly alarming when
Jamaican reggae bod Bounty Killer bursts in and toasts the proceedings, but in a world where No Doubt
are suddenly likable, anything is possible. Promises to be their first monster hit since 'Don't Speak', and to keep Gwen in lipstick for years.
