A slice of well-rhymed braggadocio from a fellow who has already made a substantial splash Stateside with a debut single which clung to the top position on the Rap Charts for ten consecutive weeks. 'I' is given a further leg-up by Timbaland's unimpeachable production skills, and features an elastic hook not dissimilar to Missy Elliott's brilliant 'Get Ur Freak On'. It's slightly difficult to take a rapper named Petey seriously, but he makes a pretty good case for his credibility - even when he sounds like he's saying, somewhat mysteriously, 'I got the girl/I got the brains/I got the storage box'. NME has passed its copy of 'I' on to Social Services.
