are the prime purveyors of a spooky American sub-genre characterised by therapy-escapees with growly Vedder-voices (see Creed, etc), who seem to think that the world should share their pain. So they inflict their painfully unimaginative angst-rock records on us, like revenge for not being friends with them in high school or something. It's a cruel and unpleasant trend, and it's got to stop.
