Hives : Main Offender
...sounds like it was recorded through a bugged skirting board during a Stooges soundcheck...
Modern life is full of mysteries and few are more perplexing then the irresistible rise ofHives. When you think of all those hapless underground bands who've peddled this kind of racket round the clubs for years, it's strange that Hivesshould have caught the national imagination.
'Main Offender' - or 'Hate To Say I Told You So Again' - is what they do best, garage-punk that sounds like it was recorded through a bugged skirting board during a Stooges soundcheck. It'll all liven up 'Top Of The Pops' very soon. Just don't ask why.
