Quick! Bring the capes! Prepare the interpretative dancing! System Of A Down
walk among us once more like high priests of ludicrousness, dispensing their doomy rock sacrament like they've got the Black Death on drums and the Spanish Inquisition on backing vocals.
It doesn't stop ‘Aerials' sounding like the kind of thing that soundtracks the writhing Adrienne Corri segment of Hammer Horror films, yet it still casts some impressive shadows in the candlelight. Serj Tankian's thought for the day is about freeing your mind, although it's hard to get any more meaning from the growled references to waterfalls and - ah, classic paranoiac delusion - aerials in the sky". It's all rather endearing, though, like finding the Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse competing in a gymkhana.
