Linkin Park : High Voltage/ Points Of Authority (Remixes)

Say what you like about Linkin Park but, at least, they do actually sound like a park. Trouble is, it’s well-trimmed patch in some anonymous middle-class mid-west town, where moody 13 year-old skate "dudes" make like Johnny Knoxville until their Soccer Mom’s call them over for a, like, totally freakin’ bogus weenie roast. Which is bollocks. With their Vanilla Ice rhymes and airbrushed volume, LP are the sound of angst-ridden teens who’ve already accepted the common sense of going to accountancy college. No, what we need is Wythenshawe Park. A band who sound like a dog-shit littered croft in an anonymous British suburb, a band who sound like moody 13 year-olds scratching ‘Donna Is A Slag’ in local council paintwork...forever.
