Toktok Vs Soffy O : Missy Queen’s Gonna Die
The least threatening of all those tracks recently tarred with the electroclash brush
How pleasing it would be if ‘Missy Queen’s Gonna Die’ made an appearance in our Top 40, just as it did for ten consecutive weeks in the German charts. The least threatening of all those tracks recently tarred with the electroclash brush (a stubborn stain), this is fresh Teutonic electro pop of the cutest kind that fair fizzes along. Jaded pin-up Sophia Larsson Ocklind’s tale of one woman’s "salvation and hope" makes it an unlikely but highly likeable outsider anthem.
Berlin’s shit-hot Märtini Brös make it more palatable still with a janglesome redub, while Felix Da Housecat does his autopilot remix thing, which is of little use to anyone but his bank manager.
