Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster : Celebrate Your Mother
Sick and wrong, in the best possible way
The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster
Celebrate Your Mother (No Death)
A moist two-backed tango in a swamp with the mother of a friend: there is no greater fun imaginable for a young man of the rock ‘n’ roll persuasion. That’s what Brighton’s most reckless sons, Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, think, and we’re willing to go to hell for it. They make their bad intentions clear on this, the opening track of their sensational forthcoming album: some low-slung Cramps bass, a thousand mud-caked guitars, and a big wet leer from singer Guy.
"I wanna fuck your mother!/It’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it well!" he bawls like a wolverine in heat, as instruments splinter around him. Sick and wrong, in the best possible way.
