The new wave of cabaret rock, as practised by Ed Harcourt gathers pace, and El Hula's Blair Jollands joins the ranks of young men aspiring to play in front of a threadbare velvet curtain to an audience of ex-strippers. Lively stuff, as you might expect from one who has had his songs played on Auf Wiedersehn Pet, but were I a rock physician, I would suspect him to have a nasty dose of Babybird, and tell him to snap out of it.
