Ohmigawd, there's Andy. And Bianca. And Jack, honey, what a thrill to see you... Never mind that the nearest thing to the Paradise Garage round here is late-night chocolate supplies from the garage down the road, Deejay Punk-Roc is on hand to recreate that glam-slam disco experience. The man who set electro pulses racing back in 1998 with 'My Beatbox', he's swerved down a different retro path this time, employing falsetto male vocals, sequinned brass and the use of the word 'sexy', all of which are going to look pretty damn silly in the cold light of day.
Not so much Saturday Night Fever as a Monday Morning Slight Chill, you suspect such shameless rehashing makes Punk-Roc Ocean Colour Scene's embarrassing dance twin. The sum of its parts? Somewhat less than Studio 54.
