Slam: Positive Education - Remixes

They push the track into new waters while still staying sufficiently faithful to the original blueprint...

You don't need us to tell you the original ranks as one of the greatest techno twelves ever produced - so we approached these remixes (by Slam themselves and Carl Cox) with more than a slight degree of apprehension. But we needn't have worried. They push the track into new waters while still staying sufficiently faithful to the original blueprint. Both mixes go darker - Slam with the prog house rubs, Cox with the tribalistic technoid rumbles - resulting in top grades all round.

Richard Ashcroft - 'These People' Review

A satisfying return to Verve form that’s also a churning maelstrom of death, riots, revolution, terrorism and two-faced politicians

Medium-sized guests and the vibey sounds of tropical house combine on an album that's not quite euphoric
