Gloss : Lonely In Paris

A flimsy Stereolab pastiche.

Never mind lonely in Paris, you'd feel lonely at a People Who Share My Name And Interests And Think I'm Quite Cool convention if you made the mistake of waving this flimsy Stereolab pastiche within 13ft of a CD player. For the record, this is an attempt at marrying a woman who sounds a bit like Björk with a big proper orchestra like what they had in the '60s. It lets rip into what was clearly intended to be - but isn't - an almighty pop flourish in the middle-eight, which even had it turned out to be any good, would have been leaving things a little late. Oh well.
