Billie : Honey to the B
There's a half-decent soul vocal hiding within Billie's croon, at least as good, if not better than the likes of Sharleen Spiteri.
and, while slogging through the third mix on this CD ("a trip-hop mix by the totally hip [a]Delakota[/a] posse", to quote the press release. Excuse me, I think I just laughed up a lung), there's nothing particularly pungent about Miss B's latest single. There's something a little disarming about the lengths to which she is straining to sound like a 'proper', 'adult' pop star, but
all the sugar and saccharine piled on top of it, there's a half-decent soul vocal hiding within Billie's croon, at
as good, if not better than the likes of Sharleen Spiteri.
