Has everyone forgotten the horror that was Debbie Gibson?

Debbie was a teenager who had American hits coming out of her ears. She had long blonde hair, slightly dubious dress sense, soppy piano numbers and upbeat, immaculately choreographed ones with crunching electric guitars on choruses to show how hip she really was. Overnight, she was transformed from schoolgirl to schoolgirl in sexy clothes for lonely blokes who can't get anyone their own age.
