Now Rawkus Records seem to have reneged on their initial promise of offering the finest in underground hip-hop, it's time to cast yer rap net wider for boom-bap thrills. Eminent New York indie Bronx Science serves it up hot and fresh, as this single proves - MC Rise stomps about the streets, spinning tales of hilarious unlikeliness and dripping a misanthropic wit Johnny-come-latelies think Eminem invented, the fools. More proof that, as ever, the underground is where it's at.
"I was hit by a bus/Ten people on that bus dies", he boasts, and it sounds like he knows what he's talking about.
