Everclear : When It All Goes Wrong Again

Perspective is a wondrous thing. Suppose Fred Durst had opted

for his rightful career in the decorating trade and nu-metal had never happened. In that brighter world, I'd have listened to 15 seconds of the chod-metal toss that is 'When It All Goes Wrong Again', likened it to someone stuffing your stereo full of Perry Farrell's smegma and taken it to the nearest Record & Tape to exchange it for a new horse-whip. But with the constant threat of another 'Rollin'' darkening the rock horizon - surely this generation's equivalent of nuclear paranoia - in comparison 'When It All...' is a riotous slab of funk-pop larks that almost makes me want to shave ridiculously. Christ, hold me back mother, at this rate I'll be giving an independent seven-inch a fair hearing next!
