Malcolm Catto : Rock

Broadly fiendish seven-inch, in that it sounds like a fuzzy, amphetamine-twisted '60s garage band trying to play hip-hop while someone breaks an analogue synth in the toilet down the corridor. Malcom - a man too cool, you'll note, to have two 'l's in his name - is currently working with DJ Shadow. Since he appears to have knocked together in five minutes the sort of thing the Shadow labours over for five years, the meeting could be, at the very least, traumatic. If you miss this one, don't worry - there's another single along in a fortnight.
