Cornelius : Drop

Cornelius : Drop

At first, it sounds like [a]Cornelius[/a] has dropped his tape recorder into the bath. Japanese pop theoreticians do these kinds of things. But 'Drop' soon evolves into a gurgling delight, as synthesised folk guitars and soothing harmonies drop in and out of this strange, beguiling piece of music.

It's mellow, it's easy, and at the same time, packed with the kind of little sonic experiments that elicit [a]Cornelius[/a] frequent comparisons to Brian Wilson. Plus, on remix duties, The [a]Kings Of Convenience[/a] have done [a]Cornelius[/a] proud, making 'Drop' even prettier by singing about their technical inexperience and the weather in Norse over the top of the track. Ahhhhh.
